Mark D. Cettie, DPM
Dr. Mark Cettie holds a number of distinctions unique to podiatrists, not only in the Panhandle, but also in the State of Texas.
Dr. Cettie is the first podiatric surgeon with surgical privileges at BSA Hospital (formerly High Plains Baptist Hospital.)
Dr. Cettie is the first podiatric surgeon in the Panhandle to be Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is also Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.
Dr. Cettie is the first podiatric surgeon in the Panhandle to receive Fellowship status by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Cettie is one of the founding physician partners of Physicians Surgical Hospitals - comprising Quail Creek Surgical Hospital and Panhandle Surgical Hospital and co-owned by BSA. Physician partners include the specialties of Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, and Plastic Surgery. Dr. Cettie is the only Podiatric Surgeon who is a partner.
Dr. Cettie is a Clinical Associate Professor at Texas Tech Medical School in Surgery and Family Practice.
On a personal side, Mark Cettie has been married for 27 years to his wife, Gigi, who has informed him that the marriage will continue as long as he behaves and treats her like a princess. His two children, Scott (23) and Katie (21) continue to be annoyed and embarrassed by him - to the point that Scott has moved to Freiburg Germany to pursue a Masters degree and Katie (22), a recent graduate of Pomona College in California, is currently employed at USC's School of Medicine in the department of Environmental Health. Luckily, they still love him unconditionally.
Mark is a private pilot who is afraid of turbulence, a scuba diver who is afraid of sharks, a golfer who is afraid of a good score, and a son who is afraid of his mother.
